The threat actor noted that the data package was from the year late 2020 which impacted 1.3M users. The data package was also circulated in the deep web forums like in the Russian language forum XSS on November 17, 2020 by the threat actor "Izmailovskiy" and in Raid Forums on November 19, 2020. From the package published on BreachForums, ZeroFox extracted 1,393,746 email addresses, hashed passwords, and/or usernames. Other notable data fields observed in this package include name, sex, and birthday.

Recommendations

  • If not already enabled, turn on the compromised credentials rule for all relevant entities and ensure relevant emails are entered for those entities, or reach out to [email protected] for assistance
  • If one of your entities receives an alert, ZeroFox recommends immediate password changes for the affected account
  • Enable 2-factor authentication for all of your organizational accounts to help mitigate phishing and credential stuffing attacks
