Key Findings
- No credible physical or cyber attack plans have been identified that target Super Bowl LVII.
- Physical security preparedness has also included cybersecurity preparations, as a cyberattack would likely have physical security implications as well.
- Ahead of the Super Bowl, 5G infrastructure has been shored up in order to not only maximize the attendee experience but also to maintain the ability of security and emergency personnel to function.
- Accommodations are sparse and extremely expensive, and scams are present to take advantage of attendees searching for last-minute or cheap accommodations.
- The threat of terrorism during the Super Bowl is currently considered low.
- Betting and ticketing scams are highly likely, as Super Bowl LVII is anticipated to be the largest betting event ever.
