Executive Summary

At the time of this writing, there are no confirmed reports of large-scale protests or violence associated directly with the so-called global day of Jihad outside of the war zone and the immediate surrounding areas. Civil, student, and political organizations are participating in and sponsoring protests, demonstrations, and isolated acts of vandalism and violence associated with the Israel-Hamas war in major cities outside of the immediate war zone; however, none of them can be tied directly to the call for the so-called global day of Jihad announced on October 10.

ZeroFox notes that although large demonstrations are reported in Yemen, Iraq, Jordan, and other nearby countries, these actions are likely not associated directly with former Hamas leader Khaled Meshaal’s call to join the war against Israel. There remain no credible or imminent threats to life or property tied to Meshaal’s announcement outside of the war zone and the immediate areas bordering Israel.
