While Iran and Hezbollah are almost certain to retaliate for Israel’s killing of two key leaders, they will likely calibrate their retribution to avoid an all-out war, as they have done during previous escalation incidents in the nearly year-long war between Israel and Hamas.
The Paris Olympics has likely repelled countless security threats, with the most effective acts of sabotage occurring well outside the main event space.
Key emerging markets like Kenya, Bangladesh, and most recently Nigeria are experiencing widespread protests organized primarily over social media.
Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro will very likely crack down on growing opposition protests, while the bulk of the international community will work on supporting the opposition and fraying Maduro’s support among the armed forces.
