You know the metric you need for Thursday's report. You know roughly what it'll show. And you still can't get to it without exporting a CSV, cleaning it up in a spreadsheet, or filing a request with whoever owns reporting and waiting your turn. By the time the answer comes back, the week has moved on and so has the threat picture.

A few exchanges take you from a wide overview to a focused, chart-ready answer in about the time it takes to read this paragraph. That same sequence used to mean building a workbook by hand.

One thing to note: Scout is read-only. It surfaces and summarizes your data, it doesn't change alert statuses or request takedowns. It answers questions, which is exactly what reporting needs.

Build the View in Data Explorer

Some questions you ask once. Others you need to work through more carefully, slicing the data a few different ways before the picture comes into focus. That's what Data Explorer is for.
