The Baltimore company was honored at the 28th Annual Industry Awards Celebration in Bethesda, MD
May 16th, BALTIMORE, MD — ZeroFox, the leader in social media security, was awarded the Tech Council of Maryland’s Company of the Year award at the 28th Annual Industry Awards Celebration dinner in Bethesda, MD. Winners are judged on a variety of criteria, which includes the company’s strategic direction, innovative products or services, disruptive technologies, demonstrated ability to attract resources and growth in financial performance.
The TCM Industry Awards Celebration honors the best in Maryland’s life science and technology communities. This celebration is one of Maryland’s largest and most prestigious award ceremonies and recognizes executives, businesses, and innovative technology developed in Maryland and the surrounding regions. Established in 1988, this event is now attended by over 800 executives from the technology and life science industries and draws a significant amount of local and national publicity.
ZeroFox is pioneering a cloud-based platform to protect the modern organization from social media risks. The ZeroFox Platform continuously monitors across social media for security risks and business threats targeting employees, customers and organizations. Using intelligent data collection with an automated scriptable analysis engine, the ZeroFox platform automatically identifies and remediates impersonator accounts, phishing attacks, fraud, customer scams, exposed PII and more.
“Three and half years ago, we committed ourselves to solving the monumental security challenges presented by social media. We chose the city of Baltimore to call our home,” said James C. Foster, ZeroFox CEO and founder. “Locating our headquarters in Maryland was one of the best choices we have made as a company. The technology community has proven to be electric, and the spirit of innovation is contagious. The Tech Council of Maryland represents the heart of the community, and it is an immense honor to win this award.”
“The high quality of this year’s Annual Industry Awards winners reinforces how important Maryland’s innovation economy is for the region, but also the positive impact firms in the state are having throughout the U.S. and globally,” said Rene B. LaVigne, TCM chairman-elect and president and CEO of Iron Bow Technologies. “ZeroFox’s success in helping companies combat the proliferation of cyber threats on social media platforms is impressive, and we congratulate them on winning Company of the Year.”
The award comes only a year after ZeroFox won Emerging Firm of the Year at last year’s TCM 27th Annual Industry Awards.
