ZeroFox at RSA 2018

ZeroFox at RSA 2018
3 minute read

RSA 2018, the biggest information security show of the year, starts next week. Security professionals from around the world will descend on the Moscone Center in downtown San Francisco for a week of small talk and big talks, networking and network security. Between the demos, key notes, parties and traipsing around San Francisco, the security industry -- from practitioners to investors to vendors -- comes together for the annual conference that helps define the security community.

ZeroFox is exhibiting in the North Hall this year, and we would be honored to show you the latest technology we’ve built. Be sure to stop by the ZeroFox booth, #3637, to check out the latest ZeroFox technology.

If you’re more interested in partying with us -- and some live music -- join Monday night for Rockin' Out Live at 8:30 at the MEZZANINE.

Finally, ZeroFoxers are making a strong showing on the RSA stage -- 4 presentations this year. Make sure to check out ZeroFox in all the following talks:

POTUS is Posting: Social Media & National Security

Speakers:

  • James Foster, CEO, ZeroFox
  • Kenneth Geers, Senior Research Scientist, Comodo Group

Date: 04/18/2018
Time: 8:00 AM - 8:45 AM
Session Abstract: Russian involvement in the 2016 US Election, and President Trump’s arsenal of tweets, barely hint at the ways in which social media now plays a role in our national security. Nation-state spheres of influence extend far and wide through social media, and their tactics are devious and diverse. This talk shows how social media is a platform for crime, espionage, propaganda, terrorism, and war.

Speakers:

  • Evan Blair, Co-Founder, SVP, ZeroFox

Date: 04/18/2018
Time: 1:45 PM - 2:30 PM
Session Abstract: The way security practitioners must operate in today’s social & digitally focused, consumer driven environment has fundamentally changed. In this session we’ll explore the convergence of business risk & revenue while providing concrete recommendations to immediately start adapting your information security thinking into a business security mindset.

Navigating the Data Labelling Bottleneck as Security Embraces AI

Speakers:

  • Philip Tully, Principal Data Scientist, ZeroFox
  • Hyrum Anderson, Technical Director of Data Science, Endgame

Date: 04/19/2018
Time: 8:00 AM - 8:45 AM
Session Abstract: Security now prefers statistics over signatures to fend off attacks. But red teams haven’t yet transitioned from man vs. machine to machine vs. machine, despite a data labeling bottleneck that makes waging AI-based attacks easier than building AI-based defenses. Before attackers catch on, we’ll make the case for AI-based white hat hacking, which will help preemptively plug up the industry’s holes.

Make Social Safe Again: Identifying Threats Outside the Firewall with Machine Learning

Presenters:

  • James C. Foster, CEO, ZeroFox
  • Mike Price, Chief Technology Officer, ZeroFox

Date: 04/17/2018
Time: 12:40 PM - 1PM
Location: South Briefing Center
Session Abstract: Social media has ushered in a new era of cybercrime, outside the firewall and security's visibility. Searching for threats manually across massive corpora of dynamic, non-homogeneous data is like finding a needle in a haystack in a wind turbine, and another haystack gets added every minute. Learn to use machine learning to rapidly identify spearphishing, scams, malware and spoofed accounts in the ocean of unstructured text, links, images, videos, hashtags and emojis.
