Jon Fraleigh, former VP of WW Sales at IBM’s Security Systems Division and Q1 Labs, will take over as EVP of Worldwide Field Operations, and Brian Reed, formerly of Good Technologies, will take over as Chief Marketing Officer
February 10th, BALTIMORE MD — ZeroFox, the social media security company, today announced two new executives, collectively adding over a half century of security sales and marketing expertise. Jon Fraleigh, former VP of Worldwide Sales at IBM Security Systems, will head all worldwide field operations. Brian Reed, former Chief Mobility Officer at Good Technologies, joins as the Chief Marketing Officer, overseeing marketing and product management. These new executives will be the driving force behind the go-to-market engine as ZeroFox scales worldwide.
Both executives are specialists in growing early-stage companies to global scale with a focus on team, process, and customer success. Collectively, they have held leadership positions at over 10 successful exits in the technology and security industries.
“Jon and Brian are security and technology veterans of the highest possible caliber; they have taken numerous early-stage companies to IPO and public success. Their unbeatable experience with high-growth companies will help us continue to serve our rapidly growing customer base across the globe,” said ZeroFox CEO and Chairman, James C. Foster. “I believe the ZeroFox team represents the best and most innovative group of security experts in the industry. Jon and Brian inherit strong teams within the organization, and their leadership will be instrumental in optimizing our go-to-market initiatives. As we have done for the last three years, we are adding more rocket fuel to our engines to kick them into overdrive!”
Jon Fraleigh brings more than 25 years of sales and executive experience to ZeroFox. Recently, he was SVP of worldwide sales for IBM’s Security Systems Division. He joined IBM via the acquisition of Q1 Labs in 2011 where he grew revenue from $10 million to $200 million over six years and expanded sales into more than 90 countries. He also spearheaded the development of Q1 Labs’ worldwide channel program. Previously at F5 Networks, he founded the Americas Sales Team while the company was still pre-revenue and built out both direct and channels sales programs. He saw the company through its IPO and beyond, driving global revenue to well over $100M in annual bookings.
“When looking for my next move, I wanted to find an organization which had positioned itself perfectly to scale from both a strategy and product perspective,” said Jon Fraleigh, EVP of Worldwide Field Operations. “The ZeroFox mission is to protect the world’s organizations from threats and business risks introduced by social media, and our team and product is recognized as the global leader in the market. Working with a strong executive team and sales organization, I could not be more thrilled for the opportunity to help customers around the world tackle the newest and most important threat vector of social media.”
Brian Reed brings over 25 years of experience in go-to-market strategy, product management, marketing and customer success in the technology industry, creating revenue machines and category leaders. As ZeroFox CMO, Brian drives the overall go-to-market strategy, responsible for aligning product marketing, product management, marketing communications and corporate marketing. Brian formerly served as Chief Mobility Officer of Good Technology, the leader in secure mobility, and Chief Marketing Officer of BoxTone, a leading innovator in the secure device management and analytics space.
“When looking for the next exciting company I could help scale, it quickly became clear that ZeroFox was the right choice,” said Brian Reed, CMO. “Social media has become the top communication channel that drives unfettered business and human interaction. However, until now, no one has been able to put security controls around this new cybercrime superhighway. As an early adopter of social media myself, I’ve seen both the communication revolution and the unregulated threat landscape explode over the last decade. ZeroFox has the ideal mix of people, product and maturing marketspace that are fundamental to our customer’s success and a winning organization.”
This news comes after ZeroFox announced the closing of their $27M Series B on December 3rd of 2015.
